Kalavantin Durg during Monsoon

Kalavantin Durg is situated on northeast side of Panvel, on Mumbai-Pune road. One can see it from express highway a V-Shaped. The Left one is Kalvantin Durg & right side is Prabalgad.

The fort top commands an excellent view of the surroundings with Prabal in the front. Matheran, Chanderi, Shrimallang, Irshal Karnala, Manikgad, etc can be easily identified.  Kalavantin durg is a adjoining hill (pinnacle) to Prabalgad. 

The tentative itinerary for the Event is as given below:
Meeting Point for Mumbai and Pune People: Panvel St Depot at 7.30 am (Please check recommended train timing as given below)
Breakfast at Panvel 
After Breakfast we move ahead to Base Village by local transport
Introduction, instructions and start the trek
Reach the top in 3-4 hrs.
Lunch break.
Explore the fort and start descending by 1pm.
Reach the base till 4 pm.
Start our return journey and Reach Panvel by 5pm

Things To Be carried:

Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.
A bottle of water (atleast 2 Ltrs) Compulsory
Cap, Camera
Personal Care stuff, Medicine those if u require usually
A good trekking shoes,
A haversack to put in all the things to be that one has ones hands free while trekking.
Wearing Gold and other ornaments should be avoided

Since it is Monsoon time, double pack your stuff in Plastic bag to save it from getting wet.
